Carl Zeiss has just announced the Distagon T* 18mm f/3.5 lens, compatible with the Canon EF mount.  This is in addition to the existing Nikon F mount and Pentax K mount.

A second lens introduced at the same time as the Canon EOS 7D DSLR is the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.

This is an APS-C crop factor lens, with a 35mm equivalent focal range is 29-216mm.  Filter diameter is 67mm, overall weight is 455g.

In conjunction with the EOS 7D DSLR announcement, Canon has also introduced the new EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, an APS-C format zoom lens.

The lens has an effective 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-136mm.  Closest focusing distance is maintained at 0.35m throughout the entire zoom range.  Filter diameter is 72mm.

Completing the initial line-up of the Leica S-System is the Apo-Elmar-S 180 mm telephoto lens, with a fast maximum aperture of f/3.5.  The lens has minimum focusing distance of 1.5 metre.
