Carl Zeiss has just announced the Distagon T* 18mm f/3.5 lens, compatible with the Canon EF mount.  This is in addition to the existing Nikon F mount and Pentax K mount.

A second lens introduced at the same time as the Canon EOS 7D DSLR is the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.

This is an APS-C crop factor lens, with a 35mm equivalent focal range is 29-216mm.  Filter diameter is 67mm, overall weight is 455g.

In conjunction with the EOS 7D DSLR announcement, Canon has also introduced the new EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, an APS-C format zoom lens.

The lens has an effective 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-136mm.  Closest focusing distance is maintained at 0.35m throughout the entire zoom range.  Filter diameter is 72mm.

Canon has just announced the first lens with the new Hybrid IS technology, the full frame EF 100 mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM.  This is also the first Canon macro lens to carry the “L” designation reserved for the flagship and professional range.
